This is a first for me. A 1/48th scale house from a kit.
My granddaughter bought this during a visit to Minitura at the NEC.
One of many beautiful kits from "Petite Properties" here in the UK. These are accurate laser cut kits from thin MDF and card which you build and then do a complete finishing job both inside and out...
This one "Pumpkin Cottage" measures (including it's base), 12" by 9" by 9". I worried about the small scale but soon got my eye in and the build went well.
The external finish and landscaping was a joy to do but the scratch built tree was a learning curve. I would not hesitate to build another at this scale, a nice project for the winter months.
The lady in front of the cottage was made by Sally Reader Miniatures
